Timesite continues to evolve.

This release brings together four major areas of development: Timesite V2 Mobile, connected Employment Hero workflows, smarter payroll rules and a more structured approach to approvals.

Together, they reflect a broader direction for Timesite — making it easier for employees to capture their time, easier for managers to manage it, easier for systems to stay connected and easier for payroll teams to process everything correctly.

1. Timesite V2 Mobile

More than a timesheet app 

The original Timesite mobile app was built primarily to do one thing well: capture time.

Timesite V2 is taking the next step.

We're progressively moving more of the Timesite workflow onto mobile, so employees and managers can do more without needing to return to the desktop.

What's different?

Roster interaction

Roster accept/reject is now available in Timesite V2, giving employees a simple way to interact with their roster rather than simply recording time against it.

Daily sign-off

We're building support for daily timesheet sign-off, bringing another important part of the approval process into the mobile workflow.

More flexible time entry

V2 now has server-side support for entering time using units, expanding the ways work can be captured.

The bigger picture

The original app was about capturing time.

V2 is becoming about capturing, reviewing and managing work wherever it happens.

Employees don't work at a desk. Managers don't always manage from a desk.

Timesite V2 is designed around that reality.

2. Employment Hero Webhooks

Keeping Timesite connected in real time

Integrations are most useful when they don't require someone to constantly push buttons.

That's the thinking behind Timesite's new Employment Hero webhook capability.

Instead of relying entirely on scheduled imports, Timesite can receive notifications from Employment Hero when relevant information changes and then process that information within Timesite.

What is a webhook?

A webhook is essentially a message sent from one system to another when something happens.

When a relevant event occurs in Employment Hero, Employment Hero can notify Timesite and Timesite can then process the information.

That means the two systems can work together more dynamically, rather than relying solely on someone remembering to run an import.

What does this mean for Timesite?

The new capability provides the foundation for Timesite to receive and process information from Employment Hero, including leave-related events as timesheet records.

This complements the broader Employment Hero integration work already underway, including:

• Importing work types
• Importing locations
• Importing dimensions
• Supporting project-item and Timesite custom-field mapping
• Receiving leave information via Employment Hero webhooks
• Exporting approved timesheets to Employment Hero
• Disconnecting from one Employment Hero business and connecting to another

Why it matters

For businesses using Employment Hero alongside Timesite, the objective is to reduce the amount of manual administration required to keep the two systems aligned.

Employment Hero changes → Timesite receives the event → Timesite processes the information

The result is a more connected workflow, with less reliance on manual data transfers.

And this is bigger than Employment Hero

We've also renamed the Procore add-on to Live Data (Data Sync).

That's because the capability is evolving beyond a single integration.

Live Data is being developed as the framework for Timesite's data-sync connections with Procore, Employment Hero and other connections as they are built.

The direction is clear:

Less importing. Less exporting. Less administration. More connected systems.

3. Turning complex time into clean payroll

Smarter rules. Less manual intervention.

The real value of a time and attendance system isn't simply capturing hours.

It's making sure those hours are correctly interpreted before they reach payroll.

That's why we're continuing to invest heavily in the Timesite V5 rules engine.

The latest development work makes Timesite better at handling the complexity between an employee working a shift and that shift being correctly processed by payroll.

Smarter rules processing

• Improved pay-grade modification and whole-of-day processing.
• Better handling of linked allowances.
• Improved processing of split-day timesheets.
• Improved handling of shift items.
• Daily allowances can now be processed where a day contains a zero-hour timesheet.

More intelligent break handling

Paid and unpaid breaks can now be automatically inserted based on hours worked, rather than simply reaching a particular time of day.

Support for a second paid break is also being finalised, including automatic creation based on configurable hours worked.

Greater payroll control

The V5 engine now provides more consistent control over payroll and GL exports, including ensuring "Don't export to payroll" and "Don't export to GL" settings are respected across rule types.

These controls now apply to Xero as well as MYOB.

Xero exports can also use tracking codes based on project codes where enabled.

The bigger picture

Awards, EBAs, allowances, breaks, projects and payroll systems can make workforce processing complicated very quickly.

The complexity hasn't disappeared. Timesite is absorbing more of it.

The objective is simple:

Capture time → Apply the rules → Approve → Export

with less manual intervention and fewer opportunities for errors.

4. Making approvals simpler and more accountable

Bringing structure to the way work gets approved

As organisations grow, approving timesheets, leave and rosters can become increasingly complicated.

Who approves what?

Who is responsible for each employee?

Has the timesheet actually been reviewed?

What happened after it was submitted?

Timesite is continuing to expand its Company Tree and approval framework to make these processes easier to manage.

More flexible approval structures

The Company Tree is being expanded to support different organisational structures and multiple types of approval.

This allows Timesite's approval processes to better reflect the way an organisation actually operates.

Better leave approval

Approvers can now see more information about leave requests, including:

• Who created the request
• When it was created
• Latest activity
• Requested and approved hours
• Improved date filtering
• An "All Future" option
• Improved handling of requests made on behalf of another employee

A new leave report is also being added to the report list.

Roster approvals

Roster accept/reject is now available in Timesite V2, bringing roster interaction closer to the employee.

The roster screen has also been substantially improved, including:

• Daily timeline
• Better visualisation
• Improved timesheet roster screen
• PDF printing

Daily sign-off

We're also building support for daily timesheet sign-off, allowing employees and managers to participate in the approval process closer to the point where the work occurs.

The goal

Approval shouldn't mean chasing people, checking spreadsheets or trying to work out what happened.

Timesite is making the process more visible, structured and accountable — while keeping it simple for the people using it.
