TimeSite Pro supports two important timesheet management workflows:
- Approve timesheet; and
- Authorise timesheet.
Refer to our FAQ article for additional information on the difference between the Approve and the Authorisation workflows.
The Approve timesheet tab enables you to review and approve timesheets submitted by your team. You can filter the timesheets displayed by User, Date, Status, and Approver. Use the Status filter to display all Actionable timesheets. Select a user's timesheet to review the timesheet records included in the timesheet in the Timesheet Details tab.
Select and click a timesheet record to bring up the Timesheet approval panel to see all timesheet records for the timesheet period. Select the Timesheet Details tab to see the list of timesheet records.
Select and click on a timesheet record to review and (if permitted) edit the details of a specific timesheet entry.
Timesheet Approval Actions
You can take the following actions to set the Status of a submitted timesheet:
- Resubmit: send the timesheet back to the Resource user for corrections before submitting the timesheet again.
- Approved: approve the timesheet for further processing such as export to payroll or invoicing.
- Ignore: make the timesheet unavailable for further payroll or invoicing workflows.
Approval History documents that different actions taking during the approval workflow for this timesheet.
Authorisation Emails shows any emails sent to clients or project supervisors when the timesheet was submitted together with any replies indicating the "authorisation" of the relevant timesheet details. See Authorise timesheet for more information on this feature.
Login and activity history shows the Resource user's activities during their use of the system during the period selected.
