Introduction
This guide will take you thru setting up the custom MYOB Acumatica Web Service Endpoint. This endpoint provides extra data from MYOB Acumatica to Timesite Pro to meet specific requirements that are outlined below.
Special requirements
- Allow Timesite Pro to filter the imported ProjectTasks from MYOB Acumatica based on the Task Type field in the ProjectTask in Advanced - Extend the ProjectTask Entity
Configuration
1. Login to MYOB Advanced and in the search bar type Web Service Endpoints, click on the menu item. If no menu item appears see your system administrator as you may not have the required permissions. Click on the Web Service Endpoints link.
2. In the screen that opens click on the Endpoint called Default.
3. Then click EXTEND ENDPOINT
4. In the window that opens enter the details as per the screenshot below
5. Great, you have successfully created the required custom endpoint within your MYOB Acumatica tenant. To meet the special requirements listed above please follow these next steps.
Extend the ProjectTask Entity
1. Please ensure you have completed the configuration steps outlined above.
2. With the TimesitePro endpoint selected (it would be if you had just completed step 5 above). Scroll down the list until you locate ProjectTask and click on it.
3. Click on the Fields Tab.
4. Click on EXTEND ENTITY, then click on POPULATE
5. In the popup window type task in the field as shown below and then click the Task - Task Summary option that appears.
6. Tick the box next to Type and click OK
7. Your screen should now show the Type field in the list, Click the save icon at the top of the screen as shown below.
8. Thats it, you have successfully extended the ProjectTask Entity and now Timesite Pro will be able to use the Task Type to filter the ProjectTasks it will import.
