Enquiry: what do the different budget numbers mean?

TimeSite Pro keeps track of a number of project and task budget data fields that track actual hours, costs and revenues against your estimation or quotation. A budget can be specified at either the Project level or the Task level. You can report on these budget fields in the Enquiry screen. Here is an example. 

This Enquiry report was specified in the report builder this way. 

The following data fields have been selected in this Enquiry report. 

• Project Budget Cost
• Project Budget Bill
• Project Budget Hours
• Task Budget Cost
• Task Budget Bill
• Task Budget Hours

Project Budget values are specified in Admin > Project > [select project] > Finance > Budget By Time and Budget by $. 

Task Budget value are specified in Admin > Project > [select project] > Tasks > [select & edit task] > Finance > Budget by Time and Budget by $. 

Note that these are mutually exclusive approaches to setting your budget. That is, if you set the budget at the project level, you cannot also set the budget at the task level.
