The Invoice WIP tab enables you to
- review revenue available to be invoiced to the client,
- select one or more clients or projects for preparation of an invoice draft,
- make adjustments to billable revenue, and
- create a draft invoice or write-off billable revenue in part or full.
You can select and review individual timesheet records that you wish to either invoice, adjust the billable amount or write off.
Selecting Timesheet Records for Invoicing
View & group timesheet records
You can group and view timesheet records by Client or Project.
Filters
You can filter your WIP by Client, Project, Task or Resource user.
Time Record Date Range
You can filter by date, either by selecting a specific date range or by using the Quick Data Selection.
Invoice Date
You can specify the date of the invoice to be generated if not Today's date.
Use the Refresh Grid button to refresh the client or project rows being displayed.
Invoice Excluding Timesheet Records
Use the Create an empty invoice button to create a new invoice for a specific Client and Project that excludes timesheet records.
Invoice or Write Off
You can then either generate a draft Invoice or Write Off the revenue is represented by the timesheet records selected.
Select Client or Project for Invoicing
Alternatively, you can click on a selected client or project group to drill down to the timesheet record details. You can select all or some of the records before selecting Invoice or Write Off.
Adjusting, Writing-off & Processing Billable Revenue
Once you have selected the timesheet records to be invoiced and they are displayed in the Process window, there are a number of actions you can take:
- Open a timesheet record to review and edit
- Select some or all of the timesheet records
- Adjust billable hours
- Adjust billable units
- Write-off the potential revenue from selected timesheet records and mark them as "complete" with regard to invoicing
- Process the selected timesheet records to create a draft invoice
Edit Timesheet Record
Click on a timesheet record to open the Edit a Record panel. Once you've saved the timesheet record and returned to the Process window, click on the Reload icon in the top right of the panel.
Adjust Billable Hours
Click the Adjust Billable Hours button and a new panel will pop up. It will show the Current total Billable Time value of the timesheet records selected. You then have the option of adjusting the invoice value (up or down) of the billable hours of the selected record and applying this adjustment on a pro rata basis to all records or to a selected Recourse User's timesheet records. You can also reset all billable time to the calculated original value, i.e. billable time equals actual time. Click the Apply Changes button to process these adjustments.
Adjust Billable Units
Click on the Adjust Billable Units button and a new panel will pop up. You can apply a pro-rata adjustment to the selected timesheet records to achieve the value entered into the But Say field. Click the Apply Changes button to process these adjustments.
Write Off and Mark as Complete
You are able to Select All or some timesheet records and write-off the related revenue from these timesheet tasks via the Write off and mark as complete button. A write-off invoice will be produced that documents this action. You can review this document in the Invoices tab, ensure that Show All Records is enabled. Write off documents are prefixed with "WO".

Process Invoice
You are able to Select All or some timesheet records and process them to create a draft invoice including these selected records. This draft invoice will be displayed in the Invoices tab where they can be further updated and finalised.
