Key Enhancements in This Release
1. Award Engine (V4) – Smarter and More Configurable
We’ve implemented major upgrades to our award interpretation engine (V4), giving you even more control and accuracy in handling complex award conditions:
- Support for total time rules, worked between conditions, and time-of-day-based allowances, including targeted processing by multiplier and grouped records.
- Improved break handling logic to ensure breaks are processed once and placed correctly within shifts.
- Accurate treatment of non-time records (like daily allowances) so they're included or excluded based on your settings.
- Allowances now target pay grades, and award codes can be tied to minimum consecutive hours rules.
- Expanded shift and work pattern flexibility, including support for multi-week cycles (e.g. 8–16 weeks).
- ActualShiftStartTime now logged and used throughout award processing for clearer reporting and better rule matching.
Result: More precise interpretation, reduced payroll errors, and better compliance with modern enterprise agreements.
2. Timesheet Improvements – Speed, Visibility, Flexibility
A series of enhancements have been rolled out across our timesheet entry and management screens:
- The timesheet calendar view is now significantly faster and supports drag-and-drop editing, split records, and clearer visualisation of shift activity.
- Improved performance when adding, editing, or deleting records in list and grid views — faster even with large volumes.
- New support for split records, bulk editing, and fine-grained control over daily sign-off, approvals, and record status tracking.
- Option to export with daily sign-off status and display custom dropdown fields in audit logs.
- Better alignment between user input modes (duration, start/end) to prevent editing conflicts.
Result: Less time spent entering, editing, and reviewing timesheets — especially for larger teams or sites.
3. Payroll & Integration Enhancements – MYOB, Acumatica, Payroll Metrics
Our payroll integrations have been significantly upgraded to ensure cleaner data flows and more flexible processing:
MYOB Acumatica
- All API interactions now run via REST API, replacing the legacy SOAP interface to support the 2024 upgrade.
- Improved data export reliability — no duplicate records, better start time handling (including support for Monday 1PM adjustment), and detailed logging for all API activity.
- Added settings to override export endpoints and choose between REST and legacy modes for compatibility.
MYOB AccountRight (AR)
- Enhanced messaging, connection testing, and export error handling (e.g. better handling of PayItem mismatches).
- Audit trails and log filtering now available for system, message, and MYOB sync logs.
Payroll Metrics
- Export process improved to send correct start and end dates, de-aggregate specific leave types, and map pay elements correctly (rather than award codes).
Result: Greater reliability and auditability across all payroll exports, reducing the risk of failed syncs or incorrect pay data.
4. Mobile & Messaging Enhancements – Real-Time, Reliable, and Smarter
- Upgraded iOS and Android push messaging via the API ensures faster and more reliable delivery of mobile notifications.
- SMS messages are now cleanly formatted and logged in the correct message screen.
- Improved message queueing to prevent duplicate sends and ensure accurate delivery tracking.
- Support for mobile-specific updates including:
- Project item prefill on clock-in
- Handling of blank project item names
- Default mobile menu assignments for imported tasks
Result: Mobile users stay in sync with accurate, timely notifications — whether clocking on, submitting timesheets, or reviewing approvals.
5. System Admin & User Management
We've introduced powerful new tools and improvements for administrators and power users:
- Bulk user update screen now supports multiple fields (e.g. departments, pay grades, time entry modes), and the UI has been redesigned for clarity.
- New user group rules and expanded support for department linking and filtering throughout the app.
- Expanded logging for user logins, SSO events, changes to settings, and rule activity.
- New controls for subscription and pricing management, including support for the 2025 pricing tiers (SME, Enterprise, Enterprise Plus, Assignar).
Result: Easier user and account management, better visibility into actions, and tools to scale across larger workforces.
6. Usability, Reporting & Configuration Tweaks
- New colour coding across authorisation and export screens to indicate record age and status.
- UI refinements across review, grid pro, and calendar screens.
- Improved configuration of business rules, including:
- Pay rule adjustments applied across whole shifts
- Daily allowances flagged not to export to payroll or GL
- Support for advanced allowance filtering and processing (e.g. NO shift + task category, pay grade changes triggered by allowance)
Result: Faster reviews, clearer insights, and more flexible reporting to suit unique operational needs.
